Every play area is very well thought-out, even the non-play amenities such as diaper, wet wipes, lotion all provided.

Yes, Kids Space is actually really fun with all the various play zones and items that keep the kids entirely engaged during each play session. The consequence: the 4-hour play session might even be too short with so many things to play.

Indoor Play
The Indoor Playground
The indoor playground pretty much stretches across the whole indoor area, and there is a lot going on.
There are slides, climbing structures, rope ladders, and rubber balls for the kids to roll around. It is the kind of space where children naturally start running from one station to another, while parents trail behind pretending to be calm but secretly calculating snack and nap timing.
There is also a bonus mini arcade machine, which the kids were excited about. It was a little buggy when we tried it, but still a fun little surprise.
STEM Play Zones
This was one of the more interesting parts for me as a parent. Kids Space has several interactive STEM-style zones where children can play, experiment, and quietly use their little brains without feeling like they are doing “learning”.
There is a parachute play structure where kids can learn about airflow. They have to position the toy parachute and little soldier properly so it can fly up and out through the air vent. It sounds simple, but it actually takes some figuring out, especially for younger kids.
There is also a gears station, where children can connect different gears together and build a working gear system. It is very satisfying when they finally realise how one piece affects the next.
The pipes area was another hit. Kids can combine different lengths and types of pipes to create an obstacle course for wooden balls to roll through. It is hands-on, a little puzzly, and very fun to watch.
Then there are the huge building blocks, which are basically like giant soft Lego blocks. The kids can build towers, structures, random “houses”, or whatever their imagination decides that day.
There is even a pretend play area, and the theme changes every month, so you can expect a fresh pretend play setup each time you visit. When we went, it was a little grocery store, perfect for kids who love scanning items, arranging food, and becoming tiny shopkeepers with very strong opinions.
Toddler Soft Play & Toy Area
For younger children, there is a huge toddler soft play and toy area.
This section has soft play blocks that can be arranged and climbed on safely, which is lovely for the smaller ones who want to explore without us parents hovering every two seconds.
There are also baskets of Montessori-style toys for the little ones to engage with. It is calm, tactile, and perfect for toddlers who enjoy sorting, stacking, and quietly taking everything out of baskets.
One of the cutest things here has to be the two little “bungee jump” stations. The children are securely fastened and can bounce up and down in one spot. It is ridiculously adorable to watch.
There is also a sofa nearby, which deserves a mention because parents need soft play too, just in a different form.
Reading Corner
There is a reading corner with many books displayed on wall racks, and some of the books looked genuinely interesting.
That said, let’s be real: most kids were far too busy climbing, sliding, bouncing, and running around to settle down with a book. But I still loved that the option was there, especially for children who need a quieter break between play sessions.
Parent-Friendly Amenities
This is where Kids Space really wins points with parents.
There is a pantry and seating area where parents can take a proper break while the kids play. There is unlimited coffee and tea, plus cute animal biscuits for the kids.
We may or may not have had more than a few too many cups of coffee. No regrets.
There is also a Sterra water dispenser, which is great for refilling the kids’ water bottles, especially after all that running around.
Charging points are available too, which is very much appreciated because a parent’s phone battery is always somehow at 12 percent.
The changing room is honestly impressive. They provide diapers, wet wipes, and lotion. You could almost leave home without packing half the usual parent survival bag. Almost.
Outdoor Play
The Treehouse Playground
Now this was one of the biggest highlights.
The outdoor treehouse playground is amazing. The way up already feels like an adventure for the kids. For the less adventurous ones, meaning some of us adults, there is also a short flight of stairs up.
It feels like the playgrounds we are used to, but bigger, more natural, and a little wilder because of the plants and the Dempsey surroundings. Also, it is three storeys high, which makes it feel extra exciting.
There are balancing tracks, rope obstacle courses, a fireman pole, a rope bridge, and a huge slide.
And of course, the best way to end the adventure is by going down the big slide back to ground level. Very satisfying. Very dramatic. Very “again, again!”
Wet Play Area
The wet play area is another fun section, especially for kids who love getting messy.
There are many toys and play items for children to explore. At certain times, the pipe will be turned on, and the kids can have a go with the water and toys.
What I liked was that the wet play toys are arranged into individual compartments or sections. This helps keep the mess somewhat contained, while giving each child their own space to play comfortably.
Beside the wet play area, there is also a mini climbing structure, so the children can move between water play and climbing.
One thing to note: wet play is only from 9am to 12pm, so if this is something your child will love, the morning slot might be the better choice.
Classes, Activities & Camps
Kids Space also runs weekly thematic activities, classes, and camps.
The themes change regularly, and from what we saw, they looked really interesting and thoughtfully planned. It is worth checking their website for the latest activities if you are thinking of visiting.
This also makes the space feel like more than just a one-time playground visit. There is a sense that children can come back and experience something different each time.
F&B & Retail
F&B: The Pantry
Another big plus: The Pantry is linked to Kids Space.
This is such a good setup because after a few hours of play, everyone is hungry. The kids are hungry. The adults are hungry. Someone is probably asking for fries.
Having a proper F&B option right there makes the whole outing much easier. You can let the kids play, then settle down for a meal without having to herd everyone into the car immediately.
Retail: Kids21
Kids21 is also connected near the entrance and exit, so you can browse and shop before or after your visit.
They carry beautiful, quality products, so it is a nice little bonus if you are in the mood to pick something up. Or if your child spots something and suddenly develops very strong feelings about needing it.
Monthly Membership
If you can see yourself coming back often, Kids Space also has a monthly membership option.
Given the number of play zones, activities, and facilities, I can see how this would make sense for families who live nearby or want a regular go-to place for their children. It really does have that “kids’ country club” feeling, especially because there is enough variety to keep things fresh.
Final Thoughts
Kids Space at Dempsey is one of those places that feels thoughtfully put together for both kids and parents.
The kids get climbing, sliding, water play, pretend play, STEM play, soft play, and outdoor adventure. Parents get coffee, seating, charging points, proper amenities, and the rare joy of watching their children stay happily occupied for hours.
Is it fun? Definitely.
Is 4 hours enough? Surprisingly, maybe not.
Would we go back? Yes, especially if we want a full play day that does not require hopping between different places. Kids Space really packs a lot into one location, and that is exactly why it feels so special.
